Rest peacefully dear Piper. It hurts so much but there are so many good memories. I just lost my sweet girl a few hours ago. We found out she had an aggressive lung cancer yesterday, and today I said goodbye to her. Piper was 15-16 years old, the best girl out there. She loved any and all foods as well as being my adventure buddy. We hiked all over northeast PA and walked many miles together. She was my childhood dog. I was so lucky to welcome her back into my home as an adult and give her a wonderful last year of life in Colorado. We spent lots of time relaxing, getting treats, snuggling up together, and enjoying life with each other. I was so lucky to have her by my side as I turned 30 this year, and to celebrate one last string of holidays together. Piper was a gentle, smart, loving dog. There is a huge hole in my heart and soul. I have known her for over half my life; she has loved me for all of hers. Now, I will miss her for the rest of mine. Rest in paradise Piper. I hope we can meet again.
